Dear Ron,
FPX Nickel Corp. is pleased to support the Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance (RBA) and its efforts to secure a renewed, long-term revenue sharing agreement that strengthens the communities that host and enable responsible resource development across Northwest British Columbia.
FPX recognizes that strong, well-resourced communities are important to successful project development and long-term operations. Municipalities across Northwest BC provide key infrastructure and services, including transportation networks, water and wastewater systems, emergency response, and housing enabling infrastructure, that support industrial activity.
A renewed and predictable revenue sharing framework through the RBA will help ensure that communities can plan effectively, invest in infrastructure, and support sustainable growth. Strong communities improve workforce stability and enhance the long-term competitiveness of the region. Access to housing, healthcare, childcare, and community amenities is an important factor in attracting and retaining a skilled workforce, supporting strong and stable communities across the region.
A renewed agreement will help ensure that a share of the benefits generated from resource development is reinvested locally, supporting shared prosperity and long-term economic stability in Northwest BC.
FPX Nickel supports the RBA’s work and the development of a renewed revenue sharing agreement that benefits communities, workers, and industry across the region.
