Support for the Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance
April 2, 2026

LNG Canada is pleased to express our continued support for the Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance (RBA) and the ongoing work to advance sustainable, community-focused outcomes across Northwest British Columbia.

The RBA plays an important role in representing local governments that host and support major industrial development. Communities throughout the region provide essential infrastructure and services—including transportation networks, water and wastewater systems, public safety, recreation facilities, and community amenities—that are fundamental to supporting economic activity, workers, and families.

LNG Canada recognizes the importance of revenue-sharing frameworks that help ensure local governments are able to plan responsibly, invest strategically, and maintain the infrastructure and services required to support both community wellbeing and long-term industrial operations. From an industry perspective, strong and well-resourced communities contribute to workforce stability, reduced operational risk, and a more resilient and competitive regional economy.

Investments enabled through the RBA to date have supported critical infrastructure upgrades, community facilities, and municipal capacity-building across member communities. These investments strengthen the ability of Northwest British Columbia communities to accommodate growth, respond to development pressures, and continue serving their communities.

LNG Canada values collaborative approaches that bring together the Province of British Columbia, local governments, Indigenous communities, and industry to support responsible development. The RBA provides an important forum for advancing shared objectives and ensuring that the benefits associated with resource development are realized at the local and regional level.

For these reasons, LNG Canada supports the Northwest British Columbia Resource Benefits Alliance and acknowledges the important role it plays in strengthening communities and promoting shared prosperity across the region.

Sincerely,

Tara Barnett Chief Corporate Relations Officer

LNG Canada
