Support for the Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance
April 10, 2026

We are writing to express Seabridge Gold Inc.’s support for the RBA and its efforts to secure a successful revenue-sharing agreement that strengthens the communities that host and enable major industrial development across Northwest BC.

Seabridge Gold’s KSM Project, located 65 km northwest of the town of Stewart, BC, is a major mining development in the mineral-rich region known as the “Golden Triangle.” The project actively contributes to the local and regional economy by employing local residents and contractors, while relying on critical infrastructure and services throughout Northwest BC.

The KSM Project will generate significant tax revenues for provincial and federal governments, supporting healthcare, education, and social programs. These services are essential to attracting and retaining the estimated 1,500 skilled workers annually during the project’s five-year construction phase, and more than 1,400 workers annually throughout the mine’s projected 50+ year lifespan. When communities are well-resourced, families thrive and industry benefits from improved retention, reduced turnover, and a more stable workforce.

A successful revenue-sharing agreement will help ensure that a fair share of the wealth generated in Northwest BC by projects such as the KSM Project remains in the region, supporting sustainable growth and shared prosperity for the communities Seabridge works alongside.

Seabridge Gold supports the RBA’s efforts and affirms the importance of a renewed revenue-sharing agreement that benefits workers, families, communities, and industry across Northwest British Columbia.

Yours sincerely,

Elizabeth Miller
